ED summons Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri for personal hearing in FEMA case!

IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) promoter Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri was issued summons on Thursday by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The two has been asked to appear on August 23 before ED sleuths for questioning in connection with alleged violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The ED in its probe held that this caused a foreign exchange loss to the tune of Rs 73.6 crore to the government. After its investigations into the case, in March 2017 the ED issued notices to Khan, Gauri and their associate and former actress Juhi Chawla on charges of violating FEMA norms.

At the August 23 hearing, the Khan couple would be required to remain present with their legal and financial advisors before the Adjudicating Authority, headed by an ED Special Director.

After hearing his version, the further course of action would be decided on the penalties to be slapped on the actor.
