Kannada singer L N Shastri passes away after battling cancer!

Popular Kannada playback singer and music composer L.N. Shastri died on Wednesday at his residence here after battling cancer. He was 46.

L N Shastri had sung more than 3000 Kannada songs as a payback singer and composed music for around 25 Kannada films.

The Kannada industry in in shock with this major loss. The details about his death is yet to come out.

“Shastri’s demise is a great loss to the Kannada film industry,” singer Vijay Prakash, who had worked with Shastri, told a Kannada news channel.

Shastri is survived by his wife Suma Shastri, also a singer.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his condolences. “The news of the death of L.N. Shastri brings me a lot of pain,” he said in a statement.
