Bollywood’s two superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan sharing screen space for the first time in “Thugs Of Hindostan” has already created a lot of excitement among cinegoers. Now, we hear, the two actors will be seen doing intense action scenes in the period film.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the first leg of the film’s shoot was wrapped in Malta with the actors returning to Mumbai to finish the rest of the shoot, including the action sequence between Aamir and Big B.
Amitabh and Aamir are currently shooting for the sequence in Mumbai, as a source revealed to the leading daily, “The action sequence being filmed in Mumbai is elaborate. Both, Bachchan and Aamir, are currently preparing for the tough task with the action-director, as both are famous for doing their own stunts. Since the two are known to be perfectionists, the scene is expected to be quite a highlight in this lavish film.”
[ecp code=”4″]Bachchan, who was famous for his fight sequences and stunts, hasn’t done any in a long time. After “Budddha Hoga Tera Baap” (2011), he will revisit his action avatar. Even Aamir, for that matter, hasn’t done any intense fight scenes since “Dhoom 3″ (2013), not counting the few wrestling scenes he did in “Dangal”.
Apart from Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles.
While much hasn’t been revealed about the film, actor Zeeshan Ayub revealed that it is a classic story and a grand period film. “Thugs of Hindostan is a classic story well said. It is a grand period film. It is not a conventional glossy film, though it is very commercial. It has a story to tell, it has complexes and plot points like a good classic and still they are trying new things which makes the project interesting,” said the actor in an interview to PTI.
The film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, is an adaptation of the 1839 novel “Confessions of a Thug”. The movie is slated for a 2018 Diwali release.
