A man filed police complaint against Tollywood star Kamal Haasan as he alleged “false comments” against a Siddha Medicine, Nilavembu Kudineer, which is recommended as well as promoted for management and prevention of numerous viral fevers and infections. The celebrity tweeted that,”It’s not that the research should be done by allopathics. The traditionalists should also have done it. It is traditional for medicines to have side effects”. Not only this, but the star also induced his fans not to consume Nilavembu Kudineer.
Kamal Haasan dragged this matter to social media by asking his fans not to take Nilavembu Kudineer, and not to supply it either.

But, the fight doesn’t end here, as a resident of Chennai, Mr. G Devarajan, filed a complaint against Kamal for tweeting offensive content. He also stated that he has gone through the same medication and had been cured completely. He adds, “Kamal is trying to get cheap publicity with his tweet,”.
And, at the end, Devarajan sought the intervention to remove the tweet by Kamal Haasan. The man also filed a sedition case against the actor. Not only local people but even Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijayabaskar backed off by clearing that,“Nilavembu is a proven medicine, it was tested at King Institute (a State-run institution in Chennai) and it increases the platelet, it increases immunity, this has been proven”.
