Television actor Piyush Sahdev, who was recently arrested on rape charges has been granted relief. According to reports, the actor arrested for allegedly raping a 23-year-old fashion designer after he had been in a live-in relationship with her for the last two months.
The 35 yr old Piyush was arrested on November 22nd after the victim lodged a complaint on November 20. Sahdev has been booked under the Indian Penal Code section 376 (1) (rape).
In the recent trial, buzz is, it was said that whatever happened between him and the victim (a 23-year old aspiring actress who alleged he had promised her marriage before having sex with her) was mutual.

To accuse him of rape is unjustified so far. Investigation on the case is on and Piyush will have to be present as and when the court hearing is held. As of now he is granted bail. “
In a statement to Spotboye.com, Kiran Kale, senior inspector, Versova Police Station, said, “Yes, Piyush has been given bail, but he will have to still fight 2 to 3 charges.”
The actor is best known for his roles in TV shows like Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Beyhadh. He has made his television debut with Meet Mila De Rabba and has been part of shows like Ghar Ek Sapnaa, Geet, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya and Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath.
