One of the famous actress of Bollywood, Sridevi breathed her on February 24, 2018, in Dubai. The actress passes away following a cardiac arrest.
According to reports, the actress was readying for a dinner date with husband Boney Kapoor when she suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
The actress and her family went to Dubai to attend Mohit Marwah’s wedding last week. Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor had returned to India after attending the wedding ceremony. Sridevi had stayed back to spend time with her sister Srilatha, as per reports. Sridevi had checked into Emirates Towers.
[ecp code=”4″]Boney Kapoor, who had left Dubai for Mumbai, returned on Saturday evening to surprise his wife. He reportedly woke Sridevi up around 5.30 pm and the couple chatted for around 15 minutes, the report says. Then Boney Kapoor asked her to dinner.
To get ready, the actress went to the washroom. When she did not return for 15 minutes, Kapoor knocked on the door. On not getting any response, he had to force open the door to discover Sridevi lying motionless in the bathtub filled with water. He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9pm.
Police and doctors arrived and took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Apparently reports in another daily state that it was not Boney Kapoor but it was the hotel staff who was with the actress in her last moments. The source confirmed to the daily that Sridevi was residing alone when this happened.
“At around 10.30 pm, she called the room service to request for water. When the server reached her room within 15 minutes, the actor did not attend to multiple doorbells. After a few minutes, fearing something was amiss, the staffer raised an alarm. When we broke into the room, we found her on the bathroom floor. This was around 11 PM. She had a pulse when we found her, we rushed her to (Rashid Hospital) where she was declared dead on arrival.” the source said.
Meanwhile, her sudden death left her friends and family heartbroken.
According to latest reports doing the rounds on the internet, industrialist Anil Ambani has reportedly sent his private jet to bring the Sridevi’s mortal remains to Mumbai for the final rites ceremonies expected to take place later in the day.
