Ageing pets, injured, stranded creatures and strays can find a safe home with sufficient space to play and live their lives. She did extensive research for the shelter for over three years. Anushka has been taking time out and visiting such institutions across India. She wanted to start the facility only when she was absolutely ready to run it. Her main focus was to ensure hygiene, health and protection for all the animals in need.”

On the work front, Anushka will next be seen in Yash Raj Films’ Sui Dhaaga, opposite Varun Dhawan and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero.
