In a shocking turn of events, 22 year old Punjabi singer Navjot Singh was found dead in Dera Bassi near Chandigarh on Sunday night.
As per Punjabi Police officials, his bullet-riddled body was found at a vacant plot near a factory in Dera Bassi by his family.
The 22-year-old who recently released two songs, was reportedly on his way to his parents’ house in Behra village.
Singh was staying in a flat in Eco Towers in Mohali and had called his mother at 11:15 pm and informed her that he will be reaching home in 5 minutes.
[ecp code=”4″]However, when he didn’t reach, his family starts calling him and launched a search for him. They found his Micra car parked near a factory near Behra village with the back door open. Singh’s body was found nearby with 4-5 bullet marks.
“The body has been kept in the mortuary and postmortem is under way. A murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered.” Mohinder Singh, SHO of Dera Bassi was quoted as saying.
