Meet reel-life Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi from Anupam Kher starrer ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will be seen in his upcoming film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. The actor will be seen playing the role of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the film.

After introducing Divya Seth as Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur and Ram Avatar Bhardawaj as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, now Anupam Kher introduces Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra who will play Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi, respectively, in the upcoming film.

The actor shared the news with a photograph of himself with Aahana and Arjun  dressed in their respective looks in the film and he captioned the pic as, “Introducing @mathurarjun as #ShriRahulGandhi and @aahanakumra as #MsPriyankaGandhi in our movie #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. @TAPMofficial #OathCeremony #2004 #VijayGutte #SunilBohra”

Directed by newcomer Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, The Accidental Prime Minister will be an onscreen adaptation of Sanjay Baru’s book of the same name, who served as the media adviser to the former Prime Minister.

Written by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta, the political drama will also have Akshaye Khanna.

The film is expected to release on December 21.
