According to reports, Gautam and two others booked flats in an under construction skyscraper in Goregaon (W), however, the construction work hasn’t progressed beyond the 14th floor since 2016.

A report in a leading daily mentioned that Rode booked a 2,445 sq ft flat on the 31st floor for Rs 4 crore and the builder also states to have all necessary permissions and assured to with possession by December 2018. The FIR further states, Gautam made a request to be given an allotment letter but to no avail. When construction work would not progress beyond the 14th floor, Rode asked the developer to refund his money, however, he didn’t get it.

When the daily contacted the builders, they were told that Gautam had asked for a refund but they refused as builders generally do not refund money. However, they’d asked the actor to wait, in good faith. The builders also claimed that it was the actor who was delaying in registering the flat.
