After starring in Gold, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has signed a slate of three films to be jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Films. The first film to come off this partnership will be India’s first space film, “Mission Mangal”.
The film will be directed by Jagan Shakti and it will be co-produced by PadMan director R Balki.
Recently, Akshay took to Twitter to announce the star cast of the film The post featured Akshay Kumar posing with Sharman Joshi, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, and Nithya Menon.
Mission Mangal
The actor captioned the pic as, “Proud and excited to bring the story of India’s Mars Mission, #MissionMangal to you. Coincidentally the mission was launched on this very date, 5th Nov. 2013. Meet the team and do share your best wishes for our shubh mangal journey. Shoot begins soon”
On Monday, Fox Star Studio announced their association with the Gold actor on Twitter and wrote: “Now here’s something to look forward to in 2019! Happy to announce our collaboration with Akshay Kumar on not one but three films next year!”

When Akshay was asked about his collaboration, he said, “I am delighted to find a new creative partner in Fox Star Studios and am looking forward to creating a collaboration that will deliver a meaningful and entertaining cinematic experience. With our combined energies, we hope to create content that not only excites but also empowers.”

The film will goes on floors from mid-November.
At present, Akshay is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film 2.0 opposite Rajinikanth. The film marks Akshay’s debut in the south Indian film industry. It is slated for release on November 29.
