Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn to star in SS Rajamouli’s period film RRR

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are all set to make their Telugu debut from SS Rajamouli’s period drama film RRR.

According to reports, Ajay Devgn will play the role of a freedom fighter from North India who will appear in flashbacks in the story. While, Alia will be paired opposite Ram Charan.

The announcements were made at a grand press event on March 14. The first look of the film is also out. The poster shows the two lead actors in their action avatar staring at each other from the corners of their eyes. Check this out:

Talking about ‘RRR’, it is a fictional tale of two real-life Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR. 

Set in the backdrop of 1920s, ‘RRR’ will release in multiple languages like Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.

RRR is slated to hit the screens on July 30, 2020.
