From the past few days, the news of Priyanka Chopra‘s brother Siddharth’s wedding with Ishita Kumar has been grabbing headlines.
They had their roka ceremony earlier this year in Delhi and was supposed to tie the knot by April end, however the date passed by and the wedding didn’t happen.
Siddharth and Ishita’s wedding mutually called off
Right after, speculations were rife that the wedding has been pushed ahead. A leading tabloid also reported that it was postponed because of the bride-to-be’s emergency surgery. She even posted a picture on her Instagram from the hospital.
However, when Ishita deleted pictures of her Roka ceremony(engagement) from her social media account, speculations were rife that all is not well between the two and their wedding has been called-off.
But now, putting all speculations to rest, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra confirmed the news and cleared the air and confirmed that Siddharth and Ishita’s wedding has been called off.
“They (Siddharth and Ishita) have mutually called it off, ” she told Pinkvilla in an exclusive interview. However, Madhu didn’t reveal the reason behind calling it off.
Reportedly this is the second time Siddharth’s wedding got called off. In 2014, he was engaged to his then-girlfriend Kanika Mathur and had even planned to tie the knot in Goa. However, things went wrong and the wedding was called off.
