Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has recently celebrated his 47th birthday on May 25 and several celebs made it a point to wish him on his special day.
But, one of the best wishes he received was from American Nepalese fashion designer Prabal Gurung.
Is Karan Johar dating fashion designer Prabal Gurung?
Prabhal took to Instagram to share a photo with the ‘Kalank’ producer along with the caption, ‘’ Pyaar kiya toh darna kiya. Happy birthday KJo!”
However, instead of thanking Prabal, Karan clearly asked him, “Control yourself Bhaiya”
In the pic, Karan can be seen putting his hands around Prabal’s neck.
After Prabhul posted the photo with KJo, gossip mills started buzzing with the rumours of the two dating each other.
A few weeks back, a report in Mumbai Mirror stated that Gurung, who was born in Singapore is dating an Indian filmmaker. Prabal is openly gay and has always fought for LGBTQ rights. He has also been sharing quite a few pictures with KJo on his social media handles.
As soon as the dating rumours of the two started, Prabal took to Twitter to issue a clarification that he is not dating Karan and he is just his ‘dearest friend’.
He wrote, “No, I am not dating @karanjohar He is my dearest friend, mentor, buddy and a big brother. Pls. Kindly read the attachement with my statement and hopefully we can lay it all to rest. Wish you all nothing but the best and love XPG”

On the work front, Though his last two productions ‘Kalank’ and ‘Student Of The Year 2’ have not fared well at the box-office the filmmaker has already moved on to other projects. Karan has a number of projects on the floor. From ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Good News’ to ‘Takht’ and many more.
