Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor who was undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for the last eight months is now cancer-free.
Now, the latest reports suggest that Rishi Kapoor is planning to return to India on his 67th birthday.
Confirming the same the actor told Mirror, “Yes, I am trying to return by August end, depending on what the doctors at the hospital say. I have recovered well and I am feeling good. Must be 100% fit by the time I am back.”
Rishi Kapoor to return home in August
A source close revealed to the tabloid that he wants to celebrate the day with his family and friends in India. The source revealed, “He is 100% cancer-free, and under the doctors’ observation for the time being. He is staying at a private apartment and enjoying life in the Big Apple. Being a cricket buff, he is also following the on-going cricket World Cup in England and keeps discussing the results of the matches with his friends in India.”
“For now, Rishi is required to visit the hospital regularly for routine check-ups. But there is nothing to worry about. He is now allowed to eat food of his choice and is exploring few of his favorite restaurants with well-wishers.” the source added.

The actor’s children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima keep visiting him from time to time. Ever since Kapoor has been in NYC for his medical treatment, film fraternity members are ensuring they meet him whenever they are in the city.
On the professional front, Rishi was last seen alongside Taapsee Pannu, Neena Gupta and Prateik Babbar in Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk.
