After days of speculations, finally the makers of Taarak ,Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma have found a new Sonu. Yes, according to latest reports, Palak Siddhwani has been finalised to play ‘Sonu’ in the show.
And now, the first pictures of Palak Sidhwani as Sonu from the sets of the show is out.
In one of the picture, Palak is seen standing with her on-screen parents Aatmaram Bhide and Madhvi Bhide. In another picture, she is seen posing with Tapu Sena.

The actress is extremely happy to bag the role of Sonu. She shared, “I am so delighted to be a part of the world’s most loved TV serial. I am thankful to Neela Tele Films, especially Asit sir for believing in me and choosing me for playing the part of Sonu. It is such a great feeling to be a part of a show that I have watched growing up and has made me laugh through the years. To know that I too am going to contribute in making people laugh is just too overwhelming a feeling to put in words. I will do my best to adapt Sonu’s character and gel seamlessly with Tapu Sena along with the rest of Gokuldham Society,”

Producer Asit Modi also is delighted to welcome her aboard as he says, “We welcome Palak Sidhwani into the TMKOC family and of course, back to Gokuldham. We have complete faith in her to entertain the audiences and we feel that Palak’s presence will bring back the camaraderie and charm that Sonu’s character brings to Tapu Sena and to Gokuldham.”
On the show, Sonu went away to pursue studies but she will now return to the Gokuldham Society, surprising her parents.
Earlier, Nidhi Bhanushali played the character of Sonu, but she quits the show because of her studies. She is pursuing her BA from Mithibai College (Mumbai) and is quite a studious person. Now she wants to shape her career with education and wants to devote more time to finish her graduation.

Reportedly, Palak Sidhwani has kickstarted the shoot already and her entry will be aired next week.
Palak has appeared in few ads. She was also seen in Ronit Bose Roy & Tisca Chopra starrer Hotstar web-series ‘Hostages’.
