Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who has been admitted to the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital after complaining of breathing issues, is in a critical condition and now put on ventilator.
According to Spotboye, the family has decided to keep it under wraps but Lataji is not out of danger. The source has, in fact, just informed that she is critical in the ICU.
When asked if she’s responding to commands and recognising people, the source revealed that since she’s on a ventilator now, the doctors have sedated her as per the protocol.
Lata Mangeshkar’s condition critical
Earlier, Lata Mangeshkar’s sister Usha Mangeshkar told that “Lata didi suffered from a viral chest infection. Presently, she is on a path of recovery. We could have treated her at home But we decided to get her to hospital. It’s close to our home plus treatment is thorough.” Sister Usha Mangeshkar told PTI that the singer would be discharged on Tuesday.
Mangeshkar has lent her voice for thousands of songs in Hindi, regional and foreign languages. Her last full album was for the late filmmaker Yash Chopra-directed 2004 film “Veer Zaara”.
She was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour in 2001.
We wish Lata ji for speedy recovery!
