Raj Kapoor’s daughter and Shweta Bachchan’s mother-in-law Ritu Nanda passes away

Legendary actor Raj Kapoor’s elder daughter and Shweta Bachchan’s mother-in-law Ritu Nanda passed away on January 14. She was 71.

Ritu Nanda was suffering from Cancer. Her last rites will be performed at 1.30 pm at Lodhi Road cremation ground in Delhi.

Rishi-Neetu Kapoor’s daughter & Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her social media account to mourn the death of her ‘bua’ Ritu Nanda with a heartfelt message. Riddhima posted a picture of Ritu Nanda on Instagram and wrote, “To the kindest most gentle person I‘ve ever met – They don’t make them like you anymore – RIP bua #missyoualways❤️“

While speaking to Indian Express, Randhir Kapoor revealed, “Ritu Nanda passed away early morning today. She was suffering from cancer. We are in Delhi. The funeral is today.”

Ritu Nanda was married to Rajan Nanda. Their son Nikhil Nanda is married to Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan‘s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
