Ranbir Kapoor immerse Rishi Kapoor’s ashes at Banganga, Neetu, Alia and Riddhima in attendance

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last in a Mumbai Hospital on April 30. The actor left for the heavenly adobe after two year battle with Leukaemia.

The actor’s death has left the entire nation in shock. His funeral took place on the same day at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai in the presence of family and few close friends.

Now, Ranbir Kapoor along with her mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor and girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji headed to Banganga to immerse the ashes of the actor.

Banganga is part of the Walkeshwar Temple Complex in Malabar Hill area of Mumbai. Several pictures and videos from the rituals are doing the rounds on social media.

In the video, the Kapoor family can be seen standing on the steps on Banganga in Mumbai. A video also shows Ranveer touching the priest’s feet and taking blessings after the pooja is over.

Talking about the puja held today at their residence, Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor said, “Rasam pagri puja was held yesterday. His ashes were immersed today in Banganga, Mumbai, followed by a quiet prayer service with family at his home because of the virus.”

In 2018, Rishi was diagnosed with cancer and got treated in the US for a year and had returned to India in September 2019.
