It’s time to send congratulatory messages to Kumkum Bhagya fame Shikha Singh as the actress and her husband Karan Shah become proud parents of a baby girl.
The actress delivered baby girl on June 16. The couple have named their daughter Alayna. It’s the same name they had thought during their Maldives babymoon trip.
While speaking to BT, Shikha announced her baby girl’s name and said, “We are naming her Alayna Singh Shah. During our trip to the Maldives in February, we had decided that if we have a daughter, this would be her name. This was the first name we both agreed upon, and after that, throughout the pregnancy, we called our baby, ‘Al’.”
When she was asked how does it feel to be a new mother, she said, “The feeling is yet to sink in. I think the countless sleepless nights that we will face, will make me realise that I am a mom now!”
Shikha Singh welcomes a baby girl
Shikha delivered her daughter amid the coronavirus pandemic but was satisfied with the care she received. “Karan and I had taken all the precautions we could throughout our pregnancy. We wore masks constantly, sanitised ourselves and did all household chores. God has been kind as everything went smooth. The baby has arrived and we are both fine. The hospital is also taking very good care. They are meticulous and sanitising the area very well. But it is a different feeling to see everyone around in PPE kits. There are no visitors allowed. My husband Karan is staying with us and taking care of us,” she said.
Shikha Singh got married to her long-time boyfriend Karan Shah, a pilot by profession on May 1, 2016.
