Charu Asopa rubbishes hubby Rajeev Sen’s claims, says ‘No one is brainwashing me, I am mature enough to make my own decisions’

Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen and his TV actress wife Charu Asopa are hitting the headlines for quite some time now.

The couple are rumoured to be having troubles in their marriage. Rumours sparked after Charu dropped her husband’s last name from her social media profiles.

Moreover, the couple have deleted all their wedding photos from social media which have only added fuel to the break-up rumours.

 Rajeev Sen on Monday told the Times of India in an interview that “someone close to Charu (his wife Charu Asopa) is brainwashing her,” when asked about the separation rumours.

Now Charu has broken her silence on her hubby’s claims. Commenting on Rajeev’s recent comment on someone brainwashing her, Charu told the Times of India, “No one is brainwashing me. I am mature enough to make my own decisions — something that I have always done. Main hamesha se apne decisions khud leti aayi hoon. Maybe, he was brainwashed into deleting our pictures from his social media handles.”

Further, lashing out at her husband and giving a hint at what went wrong between them, Charu added,“If Rajeev thinks that I am innocent and gullible, and could be influenced by those around me, why did he leave me to live on my own during these tough times? This is the time for families to come together and be by each other’s side. But, Rajeev moved out and flew to Delhi a few days before our first wedding anniversary. It’s been two months now. Why would he do that? Shaq ka koi ilaaj nahi hai (There is no cure for doubt). What led to this and the issues in our relationship… there is a lot that I can talk about, but I don’t want my personal life to become a public spectacle. I don’t want it to become a part of anyone’s gossip session.”

Rajeev and Charu tied the knot on June 7 after four months of dating. The marriage ceremony was also attended by Rajeev’s sister and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen, her boyfriend Rohman Shawal and Sushmita’s two daughters.

Charu Asopa is a television actress who has worked in shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Mere Angne Mein. Rajeev, on the other hand, is a model.
