I don’t like Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss’, says Sooraj Barjatya

Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, who has worked with Salman Khan in most of his films, doesn’t like the superstar’s controversial reality show “Bigg Boss”.

“I dont like Bigg Boss. I dont watch that (Weekend Ka Vaar episode where Salman Khan comes),” Barjatya said in an interview.

Barjatya was speaking on the sidelines of launch of his new TV show “Ek Shringaar… Swabhimaan”.

“Ek Shringaar… Swabhimaan” highlights Shardas (Prachee Shah Pandya) determination in not only providing the best education for her daughters, but also finding a suitable match for them in a family that will allow her daughters careers to flourish rather than tie them down to domesticity.

“I have niece who is working with a top multinational company and is drawing a very good salary, she goes abroad three-four times a year on a holiday with her family. The family was looking for a boy but the condition was that she has to quit her job,” the “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” helmer said.

With a modern outlook coupled with traditional values, “Ek Shringaar…Swabhimaan”, produced by Rajshri Productions, will go on air from December 19 on Colors channel.

The filmmaker has revealed that he has begun working on a film that will feature the Salman Khan. He said “There is something (in the pipeline with Salman) but there is some time for it. I want to do a film with Salman but I have my TV commitments, which are very important.”

The filmmaker also said that he is yet to communicate the idea about the movie to Salman as he is still developing it. Sooraj, however, does confirm that like all their previous projections, this one will also have family values at its core.

“I haven’t spoken to him about it because we are still in the development stage. It takes me a while. My zone is not in a genre which one can call workable. We both want to do something which keeps the values up regardless of the commercial success. That is our struggle,” Sooraj says.
