“Henceforth all teasers, trailers, ads and short films will be fully and finally certified digitally. Producers need not submit physical copies of these to the CBFC. Nor do they need to be physically present at any given time during the certification procedure,” declares Nihalani.

However feature film still need to be submitted for the physical viewing of the jury members. Explains Nihalani, “Feature films cannot be viewed and certified online. They have to be submitted for physical viewing by board members. However producers only need to visit the censor board once with their films. Once the film is viewed all paperwork will be done online.”
