Actress Shamita Shetty, who failed to make a mark in Bollywood post her debut with ‘Mohabbatein’ in 2000, was all geared up to make her presence felt on the small screen. But looks like her plans of making it big on the tube have hit a rough patch.
Turns out, Shamita was approached to play the female lead in a TV show. She had to portray the role of Kamini Mathur, a Bollywood superstar, in the show. However, a source tells us that the actress failed the audition and was subsequently dropped from the show. While the makers had initially felt that she would be a perfect fit for the role, they were not impressed by her audition.
