Here’s some good news for fans of the 90s hit comedy Hum Paanch: It is now confirmed that the show, is set for a comeback by the end of May.
After Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Hum Paanch, a 90s sitcom, is set to be renewed with a “modern twist”. The new series will reportedly have an entirely new cast and crew.
As we inform earlier Jayashree Venkataramanan who was seen in “Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha” Season 2 is all set to return to television and will reprise the iconic role of ‘Kajal bhai’ in the upcoming show, ‘Hum Paanch Phir Se.’
The actress considers it an “honour” to be a part of “Hum Paanch Phir Se”.

“I am honoured to play the role of Kajal Bhai. The moment I was offered the role, there was no saying a no. It was an instant agreement on taking up the character because I had been an ardent follower of ‘Hum Paanch’ and I loved the character of Kajal Bhai,” Jayashree said in a statement.
“Bhairavi Raichura did a fantastic job by essaying that character and I wish to match up to her level and entertain the audience,” she added.
The show is supposed to air on Big Magic.
Hum Paanch was first aired in 1995 and ran until 1999. The series returned for a second season in 2005 and ran until mid-2006. It starred Vidya Balan, Shoma Anand, Ashok Saraf, Rakhee Tandon, Bhairavi Raichura and Vandana Pathak.
