It has been five years since the industry lost veteran actor Rajesh Khanna. The actor has given us innumerable films to cherish. Even now, we do miss his presence.
On the occasion of Rajesh Khanna’s fifth death anniversary, Twinkle Khanna took to Twitter and shared a throwback picture remembering her father.

Rajesh Khanna married the then-budding actress Dimple Kapadia in March 1973, months before her superhit film Bobby released.
Besides films, Rajesh Khanna also had a career in politics. He started campaigning for Congress in 1984 and was the party’s candidate from New Delhi seat during 1991 Lok Sabha elections. He actively campaigned for Congress till Punjab elections in 2012, before his death.Twinkle Khanna also accompanied her father Rajesh Khanna for election campaigns. Dimple Kapadia and Rinke too accompanied them.
Rajesh Khanna, who was called Bollywood’s ‘first superstar,’ died of cancer on July 18, 2012. The actor was known for his roles in films like Anand, Aradhana, Kati Patang, Roti and many others. He was lovingly called Kaka in the industry.
