Ajay Devgn will romance the much younger Ileana D’Cruz in his upcoming film Baadshaho, and his fans got a glimpse of their crackling on-screen chemistry in the trailer. But if latest buzz is to be believed, the makers have chopped off a lovemaking scene between the two actors in order to not get into trouble with the censor board.
According to a report in Mid-Day, director Milan Luthria is in no mood to get into hot water with Central Board of Film Certification, and has apparently trimmed a lovemaking scene between Ajay and Ileana.
“The scene between Ileana and Ajay, if left as is, lasts for 10 minutes. It’s aesthetically shot and is crucial to the film’s plot. But Milan decided to shorten it, trimming the kisses and bareback shots. He didn’t want to attract the wrath of the Censors. The film is all-out commercial and he wants it to get a U/A certificate. The scene would have resulted in an A certificate,” an insider tells Mid day.
Milan’s upcoming film is based on the emergency period of 1975-1977, much alike Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming Indu Sarkar and Milan doesn’t wish any controversy to affect the release of the film in any aspect. “Milan doesn’t want to face controversy ahead of release,” adds the source.
It features Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Sanjay Mishra and Vidyut Jammwal in the lead roles. Directed by Milan Luthria, the film is slated to release on September 1, 2017.
