Akshay Kumar is not contesting in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections

Recently, there were news doing the rounds that bollywood actor Akshay Kumar may contest in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The speculations started after his tweet which he posted a few hours back.

The actor wrote, “Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today. Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both. Stay tuned for updates.”

This led many of his fans to speculate that Akshay may be entering politics, as the actor has campaigned for the BJP and supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past.

But, the actor now confirmed that he won’t be contesting elections. In a tweet Akshay said, “Grateful for all the interest shown in my previous tweet but just clarifying in light of some wild speculation, I am not contesting elections.”
