The makers of Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy starrer ‘Gold’ release the trailer of the film. The movie is based on the story of Indian hockey team led by Balbir Singh, which won the first Olympic medal for the country as a free nation in 1948.
The teaser shows Akshay Kumar says he holds only two things dear, hockey and his country. Through voice-over narration, the character remarks that though India have three gold medals, they were all won under British rule. Later, he decides to coach the Indian hockey team and from there on we see the inspiring journey of Indian winning the first Olympic gold medal as a free nation.
While, Mouni has a blink and miss appearance in the teaser for Gold.
[ecp code=”4″]Besides Akshay and Mouni, it stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal in pivotal roles.
The film, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment, is directed by Reema Kagti.
The film is slated to release next year on August.
