Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande is on a roll!
Ankita, who had been on a hiatus for quite a long time, was in news recently for signing her first Bollywood film as Jhalkaribai in Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’.
And now according to an online entertainment portal, the actress is all to sign her second film opposite Sanjay Dutt.
Ankita has reportedly signed her second film ‘Torbaaz’ opposite Sanjay Dutt who will be seen playing an Army officer.
The shooting will reportedly start in December, according to reports, the movie is set in Afghanistan and its plot revolves around child suicide bombers.
The film is produced by Raju Chadha and Rahul Mittra.
“I am amazed at how easily and organically Sanju got into the world of ‘Torbaaz’. He is a very intelligent and evolved actor who has so much to offer. He was the first choice for me,” Girish said.

Ankita made her debut in the TV industry with “Pavitra Rishta” in the year 2009 . The actress is seen celebrating eight years of “Pavitra Rishta” on Twitter. Ankita has also been seen on several reality shows including, “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” and “Comedy Circus”.
In her debut film “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”, Ankita would be seen playing the character of Jhalkaribai, who was considered as the right hand of Rani Laxmibai and was a part of her army. Due to her stark resemblance to Queen of Jhansi, Jhalkaribai was induced in her army and went on to act as her body-double to deceive the British during an attack. She later sacrificed her life to save the Queen.
Ankita has already started preparing for her role in the upcoming film. And to get her character right, she is currently training in sword-fighting with famous Hollywood action director Nick Powell.
