Taarak Mehta producer Asit Modi declares, says I have to replace Disha Vakani

Few days ago, we told you that  ‘Taaraka Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ actress Disha Vakani aka Dayaben is not returning to the show.

According to reports, the actress who has been blessed with a baby girl on November 30, 2017 was expected to join the show after a few months, but it didn’t happened.

Well now, after several months, it has been confirmed that Disha will not return to the show and would be replaced.

Asit Modi declares, says I have to replace Disha Vakani

Well now, the show’s producer Asit Modi finally spoken up on the matter and says that he will have to replace Disha Vakani, if she doesn’t announce her comeback.

Speaking to Bombay Times, he said, “I don’t have any fallout with the actress. Disha has not been working with us for more than a year now. It’s natural for any mother to want to spend time with her child, but now that her daughter is one year old, we are hoping that Disha will return to the show.”

He also made sure to set certain facts straight, “While my viewers are questioning the long absence of Dayaben, the ratings have not been affected. We have given her enough time to decide, too. Contrary to reports, there are no money issues, because my team is in touch with her and any matter can be solved, amicably.”

He further added, “I am still waiting for her to return, but if she does not announce her decision in some time, I will have to replace her. I believe that no actor is bigger than the show and everyone has to work professionally towards making it a success.”
