Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are currently shooting for their upcoming film ‘Bharat’ in Ludhiana. This morning, Salman Khan treated us with Bharat first look.
In the picture, both Salman and Katrina are standing at Wagah Border. The actor is dressed in formal attire whereas Katrina has donned a saree.
Interestingly, this isn’t the real Wagah Border in Amritsar. The set up has been recreated in Ludhiana. This is because shooting isn’t allowed by the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Wagah Border due to security reasons.

Talking about the recreation of Wagah Border, a unit member of the film told Indian Express, “There were certain scenes in which actors have to cross border and reach Pakistan side. It was not possible to shoot them at original location. Also, it wasn’t practical to shoot at Wagah Border in Amritsar as it is normally not allowed by BSF due to security reasons. It was highly unlikely that BSF might have permitted.”
Bharat will be an onscreen adaptation of 2014 South Korean movie Ode To My Father. The film will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi.
Salman’s character in the film will undergo various transformations depending spanning different age group. The film also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover.
The film will release on Eid 2019.
