Chandan Prabhakar makes directorial debut with Punjabi film, signed Sejal Sharma as his female lead

Television actor Chandan Prabhakar who is best remembered for his role of Chandu, the chai wala, on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show is all to make his directorial debut with a Punjabi film.

The untitled film is said to be a Comedy – love story and is being produced by Yadu Productions.

Chandan has finalised Sezal Sharma for the yet-to-be-titled film. Sezal will play an Indo-Canadian girl who is the main character in the movie.

Sezal was last seen in 31st October along with Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan.

While the lead hero is yet to be finalised, the hunt for their heroine has come to an end.

Sezal Sharma in a press statement said, “I’ve known Chandan for a while but everyone who knows Chandan will agree that in work related matters, he is quite a perfectionist. Through I was on his mind for this role, I had to give four auditions post which I got selected. I begin shooting for this film in August.”

Sezal also has two other releases lined up for this year, one of which is GPL, which got showcased in Cannes last year and is due to release in October.

Irked by Kapil’s so-called violent and abusive mid-air ruckus, Chandan had said good-bye to TKSS, but only to make a heart-warming comeback again.
