“Balika Vadhu” fame actress Roop Durgapal, who had earlier expressed her desire for playback singing, has now entered the world of music.
She has already recorded two songs for two Hindi films. One is a peppy wedding number and the other is a romantic breezy duet with Akhil Sachdeva of Humsafar fame.

“Since I am bound by contract, I can’t reveal more. But I am grateful that after waiting for long, my dream of doing playback singing has come true. I always wanted to be an actress and a singer both. By God’s grace, hopefully, good acting and more singing offers will come my way,” Roop told IANS.
Roop is best known for playing the role of Sanchi in Colors’ popular show “Balika Vadhu”. She was also seen in few episodes of popular shows like CID, Babosa on Sony TV and Haunted Nights on Sahara One.
The actress has worked in Infosys before taking up acting. She entered the acting industry as she loves acting and dreamt to see herself on-screen. She is also a passionate singer.
