Actress Ritu Shivpuri, who made her smashing debut opposite Govinda in David Dhawan’s laugh-riot Aankhen, had disappeared from the movie scene soon. The actress will soon reappear on Star Plus’ daily soap, “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3”, as leading lady Shivani Tomar’s mother.
In the much-anticipated show, only Barun Sobti’s character ‘Arnav Singh Raizada’ has been revived from the season one of the show. ‘Kasam’ actress Shivani Tomar will be paired opposite Barun.

Still remembered as ‘Laal Dupatte wali’ girl, actress Ritu Shivpuri, Govinda’s leading lady from David Dhawan’s hit film ‘Aankhen’ has been roped in to play the role of a ‘mean’ mother in the show.
Reportedly, the mothers of both the leads will have an important role in the third installment of the show. While Ritu Shivpuri will play Shivani’s mother, ‘Afsar Bitiya’ actress Mitali Naag will play Barun’s mother in the show.
Coming back to Ritu Shivpuri, she made an impressive TV debut last year with the second season of Anil Kapoor’s ’24’ on Colors. For her role in ’24’, Ritu was recently awarded the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award 2017 for Best Debut Actor on Television for ’24 Season 2′.
And now, the actress has been roped to play a strong character in the third season of ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’, which was one of the top-rated show of 2012 starring Sanaya Irani opposite Barun. Seems like, the actress is all set to made her mark on TV.
