Famous Iranian director Majid Majidi’s next film, ‘Beyond The Clouds’, has been in the news for quite some time. After all, the film marks Majidi’s first ever project in India.
Starring Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan, the film has been completely shot in India.
Now, the film has been selected to open this year’s International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28.

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker, who makes his foray into Indian cinema with the trilingual, will be present for the screening along with Khattar, leading lady Malavika Mohanan, music maestro A R Rahman and Vishal Bhardwaj, who has written dialogues for the Hindi version.
“This is my second time at the IFFI, Goa. The first time it was a retrospective of my earlier films and this time, it’s for ‘Beyond The Clouds’. I am very happy and curious to see the reactions of the audiences because this is the first time the film will be presented to Indian audiences,” Majidi said in a statement.
