Has Kareena Kapoor Signs Her First Biopic With ‘Mary Kom’ Director Omung Kumar?

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who gave a birth to a baby boy Taimur in December last year, is currently working hard to shed her weight for her film ‘Veere Di Wedding’. The actress has not signed any film post her maternity break.

Now looks like the filmmakers were just waiting for her to get back to work mode so that they could sign films with her. As per the latest reports, the actress has been approached by Omung Kumar to do a very interesting biopic. He has previously made “Mary Kom” and “Sarbjit”, one of which was a huge hit.

Says a source DNA, “Omung has wanted to work with Kareena for quite some time and he has finally found the right script for her. It’s a biopic and the actress and filmmaker will soon sit for a round of narrations. Then Bebo will take a call on the film.”

Nothing has been confirmed yet from the actors or the director side. If everything goes well, this will be the first time for Kareena Kapoor to star in a biopic. Omung Kumar has previously directed Priyanka Chopra in ‘Mary Kom’ and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Sarbjit’.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space with Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in ‘Veere Di Wedding’ which is being helmed by Shashanka Ghosh. The film which is expected to go on the floors soon will be jointly being produced by Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
