Malayalam actress Sanusha Santosh gets molested in a train, man arrested

In a shocking incident, Malayalam actress Sanusha Santosh gets molested when she was travelling in a train from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday night.

As per reports, the actress was in a two-tier air-conditioned coach of the Maveli Express that follows the Mangaluru Central to Thiruvananthapuram route.The actress was sleeping in her berth when she felt a man’s fingers on her mouth.

 “I opened my eyes as I felt something against my lips. I was shocked to see a man’s hand. I held on to his hand and twisted his fingers. I tried reaching out to a person in the berth below me for help but he didn’t bother. I was shouting but no one cared to respond. This happened around 1.10 am. Just two people, scriptwriter Unni and another passenger, Renjith, came forward to help.” Sanusha told.

As the two men went to look for the TTE or the Train Ticket Examiner,  Ms Santosh says she didn’t allow the alleged molester to move. “Once the TTE came and got the information, he called the next railway station and the railway police were informed. When we reached Thrissur half an hour later, the railway police arrested him. I gave my statement and continued my journey to Thiruvananthapuram in the same train,” she added. An FIR has been filed under IPC section 354 and the accused has been sent to custody for 14 days.

“I know that now I have to go through a legal process and I am happy that I have the full support of my family. My advise to women and girls is they should react immediately and not delay it,” said the actress.

Sanusha has started her career as a child artiste. Sanusha is busy in the south Indian film industry and has acted in over 40 films and in numerous popular TV serials so far.
