Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar has been generating buzz ever since its teaser was posted last year.
Now, Aamir has shared a new poster to make our wait a little easier. It features Dangal girl Zaira Wasim in a school dress, lost in her own dreams playing a guitar while Aamir Khan is in his true rockstar form

The film “Secret Superstar” revolves around Zaira, who plays a school girl and music enthusiast. She wanted to make her career in singing. However, her parents aren’t supportive one bit. Hence, she starts this secret life as an internet sensation. While Zaira is a leading protagonist, Aamir plays her mentor. And we must tell you, he is quite an unusual mentor for he is creepy, weird and very flashy.
[ecp code=”4″]The first poster was released on Monday which had only Zaira in it. And considering the film is about her journey as a Secret Superstar, Aamir has ensured that the first poster too glorifies the same.
Tweeting a poster of Secret Superstar, the Bollywood actor informed fans that the trailer will be released on August 2, Wednesday. The tagline on the poster reads, “Dream Dekhna Toh Basic Hota Hai”

While Aamir himself has called the film a superhit in the trailer, we will have to wait to see the trailer. Last seen in Dangal, Aamir plays Zaira’s mentor-rockstar in the film, and is in a completely new look all with blonde spikes and everything.
Zaira Wasim, who is 16, got her big break in Dangal playing the younger version of wrestler Geeta Phogat, on whose family the film is based. Zaira won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress this year for her performance as the young Geeta.
Secret Superstar was earlier supposed to release on August 4 but it was surprisingly announced that it will release on the Diwali weekend. Surprising because it will release alongside Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 and we can’t hold our excitement for this superstar weekend.
