Akshay Kumar starts shooting for Twinkle Khanna’s production film ‘Padman’!

After wrapping up ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, superstar Akshay Kumar is back on the film sets, and this time with his wife Twinkle Khanna. After years Twinkle has returned to film sets, but only as a producer.

Akshay, who is playing the lead in ‘Padman’, has begun shooting for the film. The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter to share a picture from the sets and wrote, “Embarking on a new journey, this time with the Mrs. First day of ‘Pad Man’, directed by R. Balki. Need your love and luck as always”.

The clapperboard picture is out and we can’t get happier.

The film ‘Padman’ is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad making machine and has helped spread awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India.

Directed by R Balki, the film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.
