Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is currently basking the glory of his recent released film ‘Padman’ has now started shooting for his upcoming film ‘Kesari’.
The film will be a period drama which will see him essay the role of Havaldar Ishwar Singh.
The actor is currently shooting with a group of children from Afghanistan and he shared a picture from the sets with caption, ‘Innocent smiles galore on set today. Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in #Kesari based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India.’

In the pic, Akshay is seen sporting a saffron turban and a beard and posing with the children.
Kesari is a joint venture of Karan Johar and Akshay together, the movie speaks about the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi fought between the Sikh soldiers and Pashtun Orakzai.
The film will star Parineeti Chopra as the female lead, playing Akshay’s wife.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film will release in 2019.
