At the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards held last night, Shahid Kapoor bagged the Critics Award for Best Actor (Male) for Udta Punjab (he shared the award with Manoj Bajpayee, for his role in “Aligarh”).
The actor posted a picture of himself with the Black Lady on Instagram. His post flooded with congratulations comments and look who wishes the actor on his achievement.

She is none other than Shahid’s “Padmavati” co-star, Deepika Padukone who left him two comments, congratulating him and telling him that she loves him.
Shahid responded with similar sentiments. It’s good to see the two get along so well – we can’t wait to watch this jodi on-screen.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming “Padmavati” features Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh, the Rajput ruler and husband of Padmavati played by Deepika Padukone. The period drama also features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with queen Padmavati.
