This actor to play the role of Dr Hathi in Taarak Ka Mehta Ka Oolta Chasmah?



Television actor Kavi Kumar Azad who is best known for his role of Dr. Hathi in popular show “Taarak Ka Mehta Ka Ulta Chasmah” breathed his last on July 9.

The sudden demise of the actor has left the entire nation in shock. The actor breathed his last after suffering cardiac arrest.

The show’s entire team is in a state of shock over Kavi’s sudden death. The actor has cremated at the Mira Road (East) Crematorium. Kavi was playing the role of Dr Haathi on the show for 8 years.

Well now, the makers are all set to replace him in the show. Not only this, they have now started looking for the actor who can fit perfectly in Dr. Hathi’s shoes.



Producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi told Spotboye.com, “We will have to replace Dr Hathi if you want to know. It’s the actor who has passed away, not the character.”

As per reports of Indian Express, a source close to them said, “Dr Hathi is a very important part of the show. The audience loves him and so the makers want to retain the character. Producer Asit Kumarr Modi is personally looking into the casting and wants the perfect replacement. While it’s really hard to find someone as talented as Kavi, we are doing our best. We should have a confirmation about the replacement soon.”

The source further revealed that actor Satish Kaushik or Nirmal Soni have been considered for the role. Well, the makers are yet to finalize the actor, who will replace the late actor in the show.

If we talks about Kavi Kumar’s death, the actor was unwell for past some days and slipped into a coma. He was admitted in Wokhardt Hospital at Mira Road where he breathed his last.
