One of the most iconic and glamorous character of Anita Bhabi is played by Saumya Tandon. She is also called Gori Mem in the show.
In the show, Anita Bhabhi is often seen in a saree or suits. But she is quite bold in real life.

Saumya originally hails from Bhopal. She was born on November 3, 1984 in Bhopal. She has done her schooling from St. Mary’s convent in Ujjain and MBA from the Fore School of Management.

Not many people knows that, Saumya is a poet. Her collection of self composed poems was published in the form of a book called “Meri Bhavnayein” which was nominated for Modi young writer national award. She started writing when she was 6 years old and her father is her inspiration.
She co-hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (based on the Wipeoutformat) with Shah Rukh Khan in 2011.
She made her bollywood debut with the flick film Jab We Met which starred Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. She played the role of Kareena’s character’s sister Roop in the film.
In 2016, Saumya Tandon got married to her banker boyfriend Saurabh Devendra Singh in a private ceremony in Mumbai.
