Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh will celebrate his 31st birthday on 6th July and the actor is all set to get a wax statue installed at Grévin wax museum, Paris on his birthday.
Ranveer’s photos have also started doing the rounds on the social media where he can be seen giving the measurements to the museum folks.
This happened when Ranveer went to Paris to launch the trailer of his film Befikre. It is during that time, the sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray and the Grévin’s artistic teams met up with Ranveer Singh to gather the data they needed for creating his waxwork. This session was held at the Pullmann Tour Eiffel hotel.
Ranveer’s Hair, skin, and eye colours were carefully recorded and the hands were moulded – nothing was left to chance. The only problem for the sculptor was to recapture the exact contours of the face since the actor was wearing a beard to play his role in the film! Ranveer donated one of his own outfits to be worn by his statue. It was sent to the Grévin from Mumbai.
Speaking about the birthday launch of the statue at the Grévin, Ranveer said, “It’s a truly special birthday present and one that will always bring back beautiful memories of Paris. I love all things French, and am grateful to the museum that they have given me a permanent place in wax in their home and their hearts.”
Ranveer will become only the second in Bollywood with a wax figure at the Grevin’s after Shah Rukh Khan.
On the work front, Ranveer will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ alongside Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
