TV actress Hina Khan made her debut at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival earlier this week. She looked gorgeous in a glittery grey gown designed by Ziad Nakad. The actress was praised not only by her fans but also the actors from the television industry.
However, Jitesh Pillai, a popular film magazine editor, chose to mock Hina’s Cannes appearance on social media. Sharing Hina’s picture from the red carpet, the editor commented on whether Cannes has become Chandivali?
Salman Khan defends Hina Khan
A host of TV fraternity members including Ekta Kapoor and top stars like Arjun Bijlani, Nakul Mehta, Karanvir Bohra, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Jyoti and many others came out in TV actress Hina Khan’s support on Thursday and slammed popular film magazine’s editor.
Now, Salman Khan defends Hina Khan. At the Zinda song’s launch event today, when asked what he has to speak about the same, the actor sarcastically said, “That’s very responsible of the editor to make a comment like that… that’s very thoughtful of him to comment on Hina. I don’t understand what he was trying to mean – whether Cannes is Chandivali or Chandivali has gone to Cannes?”
Earlier, Hina Khan also took to Twitter to give a befitting reply to the editor. She mentioned that she is proud of where she has come from and where she is going. Hina’s tweet read, “I was persistent, I m constant n I will b efficient again n again again. Don’t know where I belong, don’t know if I have to, as d Place don’t define me! Because as always I will work my a** off n I will make my own PLACE. My promise,a proud outsider from my Chandiwali studios. 🙏” (sic)
