Sunil Grover to be back on TV with Akshay Kumar’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge!

The upcoming season of Popular show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ is all set to be back on Star Plus with Akshay Kumar as the superboss. Earlier, there were reports that the makers had roped in ex-Bigg Boss contestant and actress Elli Avram as the host of the show but are currently re-thinking on their decision.

But now, if recent buzz is to be believed then, Elli is no more a part of the show and is replaced by Sunil Grover as the host.

A source from production said, “It’s a laughter show and we have had screen test and rehearsals with our mentors and host Elli. We now feel she doesn’t fit the bill and isn’t able to pull off Hindi as required for the show. We’re now in talks with Sunil Grover and working on dates. If all goes well, we will have him as the host.”

Akshay will be the judge of the The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. The mentors that have been roped in for the show are comedians Zakir Khan and Mallika Dua and writer Hussain Dalal. The show is set to premiere by September end.

Post mid-air fight with Kapil Sharma earlier this year, actor-comedian Sunil Grover along with Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar boycotted Sony TV’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Since then, there were constant rumors of Sunil Grover comeback on TV.

And, now if these reports are true, than it will be a happy news for all Sunil’s fans.
